Carcassonne is undoubtedly one of the most outstanding sites for those who dream to find out what medieval times were really about, as it is one of the most well-preserved fortified medieval cities of Europe. As such, it has been declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO since 1997 enabling the city to preserve most of its Gothic architectural treasures.

Depart from Toulouse and head to Carcassonne. Upon arrival, follow your guide on a guided walking tour of the 'Cité'.
