Highlights of the Tour:
| Father Junipero Serra, the Spanish Franciscan priest who founded the first missions in California was from Mallorca. Discover the hometown of Father Serra, the founder of California's mission trail. The home in which Serra was born and raised was a typical farmer’s house of the early eighteenth century: two stories, built of stone, with an entrance wide enough to serve the Serras and the family’s mule. Down the street, in the same block, was the parish church where the infant Serra was baptized the day of his birth. The museum, to discover the history of Father Serra. The convent of San Francisco in Palma where he was educated. The monastery where he spent one of his last days in Mallorca at the hilltop shrine of Santuario de Cura where we will enjoy a great view of the island. The tour price includes the guide. Transportation to be quoted depending of the group size. Lunch can be arranged too in a local restaurant (lunch is not included). Entrance fees are not included |
