What others say about this Tour
"Johann was very nice and informative on the tour. He picked us up at the Linz Hauptbahnhof, which saved money on a taxi and was very convenient. He showed us Mauthausen as well as the Hauptplatz and St. Mary's Cathedral. He is fluent in English, so do not worry if your German is not very good. He is[....] very nice and informative, with a sense of humor. He seemed happy to show us Linz in general and was happy to answer any questions we had about the city, austrian history, culture, etc. We also shared some Linzer torte in an excellent bakery. I wish he gave tours in other cities in the region, because of these reasons. I definitely recommend him. "

"Johann's tour of Mauthausen was more than what my fiance and I had expected! Johann was informative as we were taught a lot about what took place at Mauthausen and in another camp near by in Goshen. After our tour, Johann showed us around Linz and he found out that I am a concert pianist. He went [....]out of his way to show me the church where Bruckner was the musical director. He took us up to the church to show us the organ and also to the largest church in Linz afterwards. I highly recommend Johann's expertise of Mauthausen.
Johann is a very personable, patient, understanding and friendly guide! He always took care of our needs for the day and now not only have we visited an important sight, we have a new friend!"

"Johann was very knowledgable about the Mauthausen site and made it very interesting for us. He was very polite and took us to a great restaurant for lunch. He also showed us some of the city of Linz. We would very much recomment his tour.
Thank you very much Johann from the Vucko Family from Canada[....]!"

"We would highly recommend Johann as a tourguide for the concentration camp or any other place. He was very personable and obviously had a heart for what had taken place with the Jewish people. He knew his history and gave us a good overall tour. On the way back he recommended a great place for us[....] to stop and eat. It was good food and quick. He even put his taxi cab hat on to come back and pick us up later to go to the train station. Best wishes and thanks to him, sincerely Catherine Morton"

"We were so pleased with our tour with Johann. He picked us up at the Linz train station and took us to Mauthausen Concentration Camp. Johann gave us a very informed tour with lots of history and information. The only suggestion I would make would be for a more detailed description of some of the [....]photos at the memorial. The day we were there was cold, windy and snowing and Johann tried to make us as comfortable as possible. We also enjoyed the details Johann shared with us on current events and local history. After the tour he took us for lunch at a gasthaus in a small town where we had a wonderful lunch served by the owner then on a trip through Linz pointing out the important historical sights before dropping us off at the train station for our trip back to Vienna. Johann made the trip a memorable one for us and we will recommend him to our friends who might be traveling in Austria.
Sincerely
Janet and Earl MacKenzie"
